IPhone 5 dropped in water

Ok, so I dropped my iPhone 5 in a pool. It was 5 feet under water for about 15 seconds. Anyways, I took it out of its case, immediately ran inside and put it in a bag of rice, but before I put in in rice, it was already spazzing out and would not turn off. I put it in the rice anyway and it started rebooting with the apple logo, but had all these codes at the top. Is my phone done and dead? Or is there still hope to leave it in the rice?

Uh oh. You may have killed your phone. The bag of rice is the best bet, but it may be futile at this point. It sounds like it shorted out. Keep it in the rice for a week.

There might be hope! Take it out of the rice, and see if it works, it's the only way you'll find out for sure.

Leave your phone in the rice for at least 24 hours and preferably 48 hours. Hopefully, after 24 -48 hours the phone will have dried out, the logic board wasn't damaged, and hopefully you can turn your phone on and it will work. If not, your next option is to see if it can be repaired without costing you an arm and a leg.

It has been 3 weeks i dropped my iphone 5 in the bath i picked it out as soon as possible like in 5 seconds and the phone was working quite good the same day. I only dried it out but hitting the phone on a towel for the water to come out. The same day at night the battery al a sudden went low and when it switched off i put it on charge but it wasn't charging. It was showing the charging sign so the screen was still working. I then ended up without a phone till i searched on the net that i should put it on the car fan which i did and when i came home and charged it it was showing that it waaas charging this time. It did turn on and was working very well till today.again i have a battery problem when i put it on charge it doent go up instead it goes down the percentage. What can i do anyone please help? Will rice still help or any other advise please
