IPhone 5 has Black Screen, Vibrates every 12 seconds, PC recognizes it?

I attempted to fix my power button, which turned out to not be unresponsive due to a broken Audio Control and Power Button Cable, I ended up replacing it with a new one. Then I put the phone back together and everything looked fine. I plugged the phone into the wall charger to see if it would respond, since that is how I usually turn it on since the power button wasn't working. The phone began to vibrate and make sounds, I could hear the stream of emails and messages, but the screen was black. I went back in to make sure I had properly connected the LCD screen, which seemed fine, but when I closed up the phone the screen was a dark blue color and it began vibrating every 12 seconds or so. I thought I might have not adjusted the LCD screen correctly again, so I went in and now it is only a black screen. I plugged it into the PC and it appears to recognize the phone in Itunes, but not in the computer folder, so I don't have access to photos. I tried calling my phone from another phone but it doesn't ring or vibrate. I know the audio buttons work because I can change from one setting to the next, and the phone will switch between ringing and vibrating; which means it might not be the audio control and power button cable?

What I want to know is why the screen is black, yet the phone keeps vibrating every so often when it is plugged in, yet doesn't vibrate with calls or messages. Does this mean I may have damaged the logic board? Or it the screen?

If you are certain you didn't slip with the screwdriver, put a screw in the completely wrong place, mash/damage the cable connectors, and that they are all plugged in tightly then your board is likely not damaged. Unless you tore the lcd/digitizer connector or messed up the board connector, the screen is likely fine as well. I would first try a soft reset with home and power button. If no response then disconnect and reconnect the battery, and boot it normally. If no response, disconnect/ reconnect again and then turn it on by holding home button WHILE plugging it into your PC cable for Restore mode (holding the home button while it boots). You will lose any data not backed up. Then use iTunes to restore if possible. If none of that works, dissasemble again and make sure you didn't tear a ribbon cable, or leave anything half connected.

Update: I replaced the screen and everything works fine now. I must have torn a cable on the screen or something.

  • Why does my movie keep pausing every 5 seconds? I downloaded and put the movie, The Hunger Games, into my iPhone 4.It required 4.6 GB of space and I deleted a bunch of photos and useless apps that I don't use in order to add the movie. I gave it the exact amount of space, now it's finally downloaded into my phone and it keeps pausing? I don't if it's supposed to do this but I'm getting really frustrated.
  • Why does my iphone 4s vibrate every 5 seconds? I dropped my iphone 4s and now it vibrates every 5 seconds and the screen won't turn on at all. It only vibrates when plugged into a computer or charger. I've tried everything and nothing will work and i can't afford buying a new iphone or sending this to apple for repair. What is the problem with it?
  • My iphone keeps on flashing and locking by itself every few seconds? Since 5 hours ago my iphone 5 has been flashing every 10 seconds intervals or so and it will lock by itself and turns on back to the lock screen by itself. It would even flash to the power off screen at times. I've tried syncing, charging and restarting my phone but things won't change. (I've had my phone for almost a year now + the decrease volume button is spoil) should i claim from warranty or are there any way i could resolve this flashing issue by myself?
