IPhone 5 Storage: How much is enough?
Another iPhone question from me! I'm an Andriod user switching to iPhone soon. (I have the MyTouch 4g Slide. It's a pretty cool phone)
I love music--right now on my iTunes I have 500+ songs (probably somewhere in the mid 500's). Also, I love pictures. I try to upload them to my computer to save on space though, but I have reached 1000 pictures before.
Also, I love Apps. I have 23 apps that I've downloaded, NOT INCLUDING the ones that already came with the phone. Geez---that's a lot, hu?
So, which storage would you recommend? I'm a cheap person--right now I'm shooting for the 16GB but I'm afraid I'll run out of room.
I have had the ipad and the iPod, and first of when they say you get 16 gb you only really get 14 or less, I have 32 gb ipad and it says only 28 I believe, I would strongly recommend 32 gb so you have wiggle room, I like to sometimes put movies on my ipad and have plenty of room for it. Well you have everything but the phone. So you could add the sizes up & see how much it would take up collectively. Note that you don't get all 16GB to use. About 13.5GB.
Honestly, no, you only need 16 gigs. 16 GB is enough, as long as you constantly clear old emails and text messages and delete apps that you don't use. I have thousands of emails, thousands of texts, and about 30 apps, but I still have space for new apps and things. As long as you do that every once in a while, you'll be fine.
I would recommend at least the 32GB iPhone.
A 16GB iPhone actually offers around 14GB of space as the other two gigabytes go towards the operating system and stock apps.
By the time you have added your music, photos and apps there will not be too much space left on an 16GB version.
- Why don't I have enough storage on my iPhone? I have a 16gb iPhone 5. I used up 13.3 gb so far and It tells me I don't have enough storage to take a pic anymore. I have lik 117 mb left but it's 16gb. What happened to the rest of like 2.7 gb. It's frustrating me.
- Why does my iPhone say I don't have enough storage to buy this app? I tried to download the app iMovie. According to iTunes, it takes up 519.3 MB. My phone has 522 MB available, but when I sync my phone it still won't download. It says I don't have enough space.

I'm travelling atm so not being able to take pictures is pretty annoying. I have previously deleted loads and loads of things to make room for all my travelling pictures and I just don't understand. I've tried resetting it, is there anything else?
- What do i do when my iphone says it does not have enough storage? It says that i don't have enough storage to update my apps. I deleted a few videos already. And i don't have much apps. How do i make it so i can update them? Plus i have an ipad thats connected to my iphone, but still the same mail comes through and everything.
