IPHONE 5C WATER DAMAGE? Will putting it in rice help it?
I dropped my phone 5c in water and didn't notice so it sat there for quite a while… But when I took it out it was working perfectly fine! I put it in rice and checked it again two hours later and it said that the battery had died. I plugged it in and it was charging like usual so I figured there was nothing wrong with it, I kept it in the rice anyways. Six hours later I took it out again and the screen won't turn on, and it does not respond to charging it either.
So, the rice method needs at least 24-48 hours to work. But the fact it was turned on when it was still wet, may have shorted out the logic board, if that's the case, it's done-for. You can try and keep it in the bag full of rice for a few days, but from what it sounds like, you may need to get it replaced.
