WAIT. I'm in the same situation, and will be off-contract right around Christmas time - when MORE great deals will pop up. Then - there will be AFTER-Christmas sales, when vendors try to squeeze the last nickel out of the $$ Gramma gave you. THEN - there are the sales that occur when business slows down in February - as people open the BILLS for all the stuff they bought around Christmas time. I intend to get an iPhone 6 - and I can resell my 4S online for around $100 now - a little less then, I'm sure - but get a 6 on ATT with a 2-year contract for $200. Since I have a sweet deal on a 2-phone contract thru my Union (for 2 of us, better than Mobile Share), this will run me the usual $95/mo. For 2 phones, unlimited talk/text, plus 2GB of data (which we never use all of) and $400 for 2 new 6 iPhones, minus the $200 (if the deals hold) when we resell our 4S phones. This can go several bucks in either direction - we're a semi-retired professional couple with money that we intend to SPEND before The Drooling Academy - because you never see a hearse with a U-Haul. We put iOS 8 on the 4S phones already (because of the thermal/antenna issue - the "freezer fix"thing) and now they run a tad slower - I do not care. Only have to use them for 4 more months. When the phone was fast, I would make more finger-errors (and I'm a professional classical musician with GREAT finger skills, thank you!) - but because it would react to the smallest touch. If THEY are selling and We're buying - then We're the ones in charge, right? Like those commercials where the puppet is mortgage-shopping in his undies… Waiting gets you a better deal, and maybe a better PHONE, when the next wave has bugs out.

- Would I be pleased upgrading from an iPhone 4S to iPhone 6? Now that the craze has died down I would like to hear from people who have an iPhone 6 (and it'd be awesome to hear from those who have upgraded from a 4s) for honest opinions and reviews. Any details provided would be appreciated because I'm highly contemplating purchasing a 6 but I want opinions from actual owners first!

- Upgrading iPhone 4 to iPhone 5? I currently own an iPhone 4 on a $69 plan with Telstra which began in approximately June 2011. Obviously the date is now almost November 2012. I'm really keen to upgrade to the iPhone 5 and I was wondering if this is at all possible. I've heard of people upgrading without having to wait the 24 months or whatever. Will I have to wait the rest of the time period or can I upgrade now?
