IPhone 5s battery drains fast?
Okay so I just got my iPhone 5s on Saturday and my battery drains so fast! Like I charged it up to 100% this morning and it it's 8pm and it's already at 36%. Btw my usage so far is 4 hrs 47 min, is this normal? Plus the first day I got my phone it was so extremely fast and a couple of days have passed and the speed has gotten slower.
Plus, I disabled the parallax, background refreshing, icloud backup, etc. Is it draining because my phone was backed up by my iCloud from my previous phone? If i reset the whole phone, would the battery life be better? I have let my phone die by itself once yesterday because I heard that it helps…
What should I do? :/
Added (1). my brightness is almost to the darkest settings and all my notifications are on silent…
How high is your brightness? If it's up all the way it will drain the battery faster. Plus having it on vibrate kills the battery faster too.
No need to reset anything. You have to find the issue with the battery draining. Could be a million things.
Start with the obvious:
Turn your phone off and back on again (Reboot)
Are any applications running in the background? (None should be after a reboot)
(remove all apps from the background before going to bed.
Do you have allot of apps using Notifications? This will put strain on your phone.
(Disable notifications for the majority of the apps)
Location service on?
(Disable location service for the apps you really don't need it for)
Let you battery drain between 5% and 10% before charging full at least once or twice a month.
How bad is the signal? If the signal is extremely weak, that could cause your phone to use up more energy to locate a tower.
Try the above, normally that will fix most people's battery problems. If not I can recommend other things you could do. Just ask.

Everything looks good except battery. it took about 2.5 hours to full charge, overnight it goes RED no SIM inserted and no usage just idle entire night, i upgraded IOS to 12.x still same issue. Please advice i like to retain this phone if battery issue is resolved otherwise return it.
