IPhone 5s displaying very strange screens after being drowned in water

So, I'm in Singapore and I've been swimming a lot, I thought it would be a good idea to put my iPhone 5s in a Ziplock bag and that would make it waterproof for underwater photography. I made sure it was zipped up and there were no holes. I took it under and took it out, from what I was concerned, it was working fine. However, when I got back to the room I tried turning it on after pulling it out of the bag which I'd left it in in the heat of Singapore and water must've seeped in because there was moisture inside, not like full on water, just moist droplets. Anyway, it's been a few days and I sort of just left it cause i have no access to rice and suddenly I plug it in to charge (I'd don't it before and nothing happened) and its screen lights up to a black screen and then a brown barcode like screen. Anyway, I'm fairly worried that it's going to explode, what is going on?! Sorry for the long story.

Added (1). My phone has just turned on to the lock screen but I'm scared to touch it, it looks very dodgy. I'll wait til I get a response otherwise I'm scared it'll catch fire

Your supposed to leave it in the rice for a certain amount of time you probably didn't leave it in for long enough

Screens can suffer water damage very easily. It looks like you'll have to get it repaired, but go to and Apple store as there may be more damage than it seems.

You left the phone in a plastic bag in the heat/sun, so there was condensation from the temperature difference, inside the bag and the phone.

  • Why do I do this? I'm very very very tired yet I don't want to sleep? I want to sleep because I'm practically blinking and bobbing my head side to side like a drunken man but I just don't want to sleep. I watch tv or go on Facebook or play on my iPhone. And I'm starting to get dark circles. And as a guy I don't wear. Concealer or whatever
  • Iphone stuck in recovery mode after being dropped in water? So I dropped my phone in the pool then got it out and it was not turning on I was not able to get the phone open because I did not have the right tools I did put it in rice over night and then I plugged it into the charger and the plug into iTunes button came on so I plugged it into my computer and it said detected a phone in recovery mode and can't connect until it is restored so how do I restore it and remember ii dropped it in water and this is the only picture I get
  • IPhone screen very dim after water damage? And a temperature warning? I dropped my iPhone 4 in water about 2 days ago, and I tried turning it on today. It seems to turn on, but the screen is very very dim. Like, you can just barely make out the display when the device is held on an angle. From what I made out, there's a temperature warning on the screen. Also, the flash is slightly lit up? Is there anything I can do, or is this a lost cause?
  • IPhone 5 camera not working after being dropped in water? My iphone 5 went for a little swim yesterday and I dried it off in rice. It seems to be fully functioning properly except the camera isn't working. What should I do? The phone is working at 100%. The only problem is the camera.also, I'm broke as *** and will not be replacing the phone
