IPhone 5s fingerprint scanner not working after screen replacement?

I have a iPhone 5s and It felt down. The screen got cracked. So I replace the display. I accidentally broke the original flex cable when I repair it. So I reassemble it without putting a new one. (finger print scanner not working bcz it's broke) today I bought a new flex cable at 13.59$. When I put it, it doesn't work. The home button works but the finger print not.

So why it isn't working? Is it a problem with the display (I think it's not a original one)
Or something wrong with the flex cable?

Sry for my bad english.

If you got it fixed at the apple store then just take it back, they will correct it for free as they stand behind their work.

Oh no! The issue you are having is apple locks each home button flex cable to a specific motherboard. Once you switch out your home button with a new one, sadly the touch ID will never work again. Your only hope is to fix your original home button cable (if possible).

Wish I could give you better news but sadly that is the issue. If you decide you want to upgrade to a newer phone let me know, I would be interesting in purchasing.

  • Is the fingerprint scanner on the iPhone 4S? So I just downloaded the ios 7 and I have an iPhone 4S u also heard that there's also a fingerprint scanner and that it might only be for iPhone 5? Is this true?
  • IPhone 5S fingerprint scanner? Is anybody else concerned that our fingerprints are going to wind up somewhere in the hands of the government or something? Even though apple say it'll only be stored on the phone and not online
  • IPhone 5s fingerprint ID will not let me make a fingerprint? My iphone 5s will not let me make a fingerprint. It works on other people, just not mine. The reason why i got this phone was because, i wanted the touch ID. Why isn't it working?
