Iphone 5s fingerprint scanner not working properly?
The fingerprint scanner on my Iphone 5s no longer works. At one point I noticed that the finger print scanner was working less and less efficient every day. So I deleted the finger print I had saved and attempted to make a new one, but on the very last scan it is always unable to read. It says something like fingerprint can't be scanned please try another finger. So I tried each of all my fingers and none of them worked I even had my girlfriend try her fingerprints and it didn't work. My fingers and the scanner are clean and dry, I'm doing everything properly. If you could help or relate please do so. I would much rather not take it back to the apple store because the nearest one to where i live is 4 hours out.
If you haven't already done so, I highly recommend updating to 7.1.2, it has fingerprint improvements.
If that doesn't work, it sounds like your fingerprint scanner is scratched (happened to mine a few months ago), and I had to send it in to get a replacement
