Iphone 5s got wet- won't turn on but chirps when charging?

I got my Iphone 5s super wet deep sea fishing. It's been in a bag of rice for 5 days and still won't turn on, but when I charge it, it either vibrates or makes a "ding" sound.

Is there any hope for my phone?

I just got it to connect to itunes and start recovering but still nothing shows up on the screen

If you have the AppleCare, they will just give you a new one. Just don't tell them you got it super wet. Just say that you pant pocket might have had a small splash and act stupid. I dropped mine in the sink and had it replaced.

I powered it down, dried it off, and let it sit for 30 or so minutes. At first the screen was red but then turned on and everything works. The touch sometimes is unresponsive. Is it safe to use my phone? I'm letting it air dry by a window because rice can cause erosion… Should I use it?
