IPhone 6s iMessage won't activate?

Added (1). I'm currently studying abroad and it has been working for the past two weeks and today it just keeps saying activating. I can't receive SMS texts either. I have restarted my phone by network, and settings. It won't activate with my email either.

It is possible that the service you are using THERE (roaming? An international service you PAID for?) is not ATT or related to them - could be that is the issue. SKYPE is universal - just needs Wi-Fi. If at home you have a cable service like Time Warner, they provide a Phone to Go app that allows you to use it like Skype- plus, all your home-phone landline calls are routed to your cell. For SKYPE to be free, both you AND the receiving party must have it. If you wish to call landlines, Gramma who still has her old house phone, etc. - then you can put a few bucks into a Skype account, and call back home for 2 cents a minute. And texting is free. We use this when we travel internationally, and want to contact family at home. Easy - free. You can also set up a number where you ARE, and Gramma can call YOU, just as if she was calling you down the street at home. Amazing, huh?

  • Why can't I activate iMessage on my iPhone 4S? I went to jamaica and used iMessaging when i was there with Wi-Fi. And now that I'm back in new york the iMessaging won't work or activate. What do i do? Every time i turn it back on and re-enter my password it says that an error occurred and to please try again. I've restarted my phone multiple times and did a hard reset, nothing works.
