IPhone lifeproof case vs otterbox defender/armor?
I just ordered my first iPhone ever and I went to Best Buy today totally intending on getting an Otterbox Defender or Armor case. Well apparently my Best Buy doesn't sell them, i don't know if it's a contract thing with LifeProof or what…
The guy saw me looking around and I asked him which was better LifeProof or Otterbox. He sang the praises of LifeProof, and like I said they didn't have ANY Otterboxes so I bought one.
Well now that I'm home I have been researching the LifeProof and I'm not liking what I see. I'm the biggest clutz ever and am forever tripping and dropping things. Plus, I have a 2 year old who is obsessed with playing with my phone (and eventually throwing it) and I need something that will protect my iPhone to the max.
Any testimonies to either case would be awesome.

I have the iphone 5. I have the otterbox defender, and it's great. I have dropped my phone many times, and nothing has happened. Otterblox is great. My friend had a LifeProof, and hers broke.
- Which iphone case is better? Lifeproof OR otterbox armor? I want it to be water proof, drop/crush proof, dust, and cold/snow. I really want it to be thin-ish and water proof. ALSO which one can go deeper in water and take a longer fall
- What case should I get for the iPhone 5? Lifeproof or Otterbox Armor? I'm not concerned about price, which one do you like better? I know the Lifeproof case is thinner, but the Otterbox seems more durable.
- Should I get the Otterbox Defender series case for my iPhone 4? I really like the look of the defender series case, and I like all of the security it provides. So the big question: should I get it? Is it extremely bulky? Does the plastic casing part scratch the phone? Why do you like and dislike?
- Otterbox (Defender) or Lifeproof? I need a knew case for my Iphone 4 and I currently have an Otterbox Defender Case and I really like it. But I'm not sure which case/brand is better. I heard Lifeproof cases are awesome, but they are alittle more expensive than the otterboxes. Which should I get and why? What are the pros and cons of the Lifeproof cases and Otterbox cases?
