IPhone not showing up on computer?
My iPhone is showing up in iTunes, but not on my computer. I use a PC with Windows 7. Under the device manager where it is listed, there's an exclamation mark next to it. I have spent the past 5 hours researching on how to fix. I just want to download my phone's photos to my laptop. I have tried everything. I really need help.
I would take it in to the apple store and see if they can trouble shoot it. Could be a connection problem.
I found this solution to work. Try this first:
a) Get Windows to restart the drivers:
- disconnect your USB device and close ITunes
- connect your USB device
- if ITunes loads, close it.
b) File explorer:
Open File explorer and browse to
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
In that folder there should be a set of files named "usbaapl64…"
right click on the one ending in "INF"
Select Install. It's very quick.
remove the USB device
c) Restart the computer.
When you login again, load ITunes before you attach your USB device.
d) If still not works, try re-install iTunes. Go into the Unstall Programs (in Control Panel) and uninstall everything that says Apple, and uninstall Bonjour. With the fresh install of iTunes, everything came back and is should work. Hope it helps.
f) If you just want to copy photos, songs and movies from your iPhone to computer, you can use an iTunes alternative to do the job.
- Why factory unlocked iphone 4s is showing that the iphone is not activated? I bought factory unlocked iphone 4s on ebay for my sister-in-law who is in europe. And the seller assured that it is factory unlocked and will work perfectly. I have non activated sprint sim card and when i inserted it in to the iphone it showed that "the iphone is not activated.contact the carrier". What does it mean? Does it mean that the phone is not factory unlocked?
- No pictures showing on Facebook on computer but they are there on my iphone? Past couple of days, no pictures (ids, posts, anything) are showing when I log onto F/B. BUT they are there when I use my iPhone. I've tried to ask on their forum but I can't even get that to work. Is this a sign From Above? To quit F/B and get a life? but what if I'm quite happy with the life I have (more or less)? anyway back to F/B, anybody else having that problem?
- My iphone keeps showing up as a camera on my computer, what do i do? Whenever I plug in my iphone to any computer it shows up as a camera and won't connect to itunes… I can't get any music on it except for the purchase music from the itunes store… But most of my music is from cds and so I can't download it on there!
- My DCIM files are not showing on my computer? Ok I use to have an android and switched to an iPhone. I put all my pictures on my sim card on the DCIM file. I no longer have the android so the sim card was my only backup. I plugged the sim card into my computer and the DCIM file is empty. How can I get those files back? Do i need to plug it into an old phone? Or can I not get these anymore? Please help. I have tons of memories in my pictures and really want to see them.
