Is it embarrassing for a family of 8 to share 1 laptop?

Okay so my mac broke last week and i obviously don't have a thousand dollars to buy another laptop, my parents gave their computer to my siblings for homework and play (now its the home computer that everybody uses.) and i have to share with all of them:-( i'm 14 btw… I feel embarassed using the home computer with all 5 of my siblings watching me doing my homework… And playing video games etc. And they fight over the computer about whose turn it is and then someone always cries and yells about it…

i have an iphone but its slightly lagy and its battery drains quickly.

I will not say that its embarrassing, as long as you keep your privacy up to yourself and always log out from your emails and facebook, but if you get caught with something which you shouldn't be doing out in public then yes it may go take a different path. But i personally feel that its not. Make sure you log out each time.

your old enough, get your parents to get you a cheap laptop. 1000 dollars? Holy **** dude, if you're planning on playing the new 2014 games then fine pay 1000 dollars lol. But if it's only for basic browsing and researching, then an old laptop would do totally fine. (I would recommend a 'Toshiba Satellite PRO L10'.It's old but it runs just fine. Though, make sure it has at least 1GB RAM for smoothness.

You need a laptop more than any of those siblings, all they'd do is break it and play Dora. Your purpose is bigger thus more important

You don't need to spend $1000 on a laptop. A Mac is not essential. Excellent computers can be found for well under $500
