Is it illegal to pay for an iPhone UDID registration under someone else's Developer Account?

Where I work, apparently it's against the workplace policy to have a beta version of iOS installed on a personal device. I had installed iOS 9 on my phone, and somehow my managers found out. They asked how I got it, and according to them, they say that me paying to register my UDID is illegal. All I found online is a note that states that it's only illegal to sell/distribute the UDID registration/software. Is me paying for UDID registration illegal?

Pre-release software is Apple Confidential Information. Unauthorized distribution of pre-release software or disclosure of information relating to pre-release software (including the distribution of screen shots) May result in immediate termination of your membership Apple Developer Program, and May Subject You to civil and criminal liability

Your manager will find out.

Paying = Selling = Distributing = Illegal

Especially If you confessing your own crime.

If its their phone then you have to go by their policy. People get fired for stuff like that.

  • Would any Apple Developer register my UDID? I would like to register my iPhone's UDID. Can you, an Apple Developer, register it on your account, please?
  • What's next after UDID registration? So, I've a problem. I paid for the UDID registration and now I don't know what's next because I don't know if I have to go somewhere to download something or if I have to wait some days because I checked on iTunes and it says that my iPhone is updated.
  • Used iPhone is connected to someone else's account? I bought an iPhone forever ago, it wasn't restored, but now I just restored it, and it says I need the previous owner's apple ID, and I have absolutely no way of getting it. What else can I do?
  • Registering an Apple Developer account for iOS7? I want to install iOS 7 Beta 2 on my iPhone to try out, however I do not trust these £5 UDID registration sites or "free" download methods, so the only option left would be to register officially with Apple as a Developer to ensure security. The £60 price tag for a new OS may seem irrational… But I just can't stand the 6 year out of date iOS6! I'm not sure of the process, however. Upon registering, will iTunes show an automatic update to iOS 7 when I connect my device?
