Is it possible to activate iPhone 4 without a sim card?
I have lost my old phone the other day along with the SIM card, then I took this opportunity to try out an iPhone, and it is an iPhone 4. I bought it from Craigslist, and the previous user showed me that the phone works 100%, then he reset it, took out his sim card, and give it to me. I gave him the money and we went separate ways. I thought it is like a regular phone where it will turn on without a SIM but when I first turn so when I want to turn it on, it asks for a SIM card. That was a bummer. I will need sometime before I can set up a plan with ATT, but in the mean time, do I need a SIM card to activate the iPhone 4?

The phone has been activated a long time by the seller when he first bought the phone. It will ask for SIM card now but you can just go to Airplane Mode and use as iPod till you get hold of your new SIM. Why not get a new SIM?
