Is it possible to bring iPhone 5 sprint to T-mobile?
A friend has an iPhone 5 from Sprint. He wants to unlock it so that he can use it with T-mobile.
I'm not sure how this unlock and carrior transfer business works…
Is it possible to switch from Sprint to T-mobile? - Would there be any limitations?
If so where can I go to have the phone unlocked.
Is there any possible free ways of doing it? (like using redsn0w or such software)?
He would have to contact Sprint as it is illegal for T-mobile to unlock a locked phone; only the original carrier which is Sprint can unlock the phone. He would have to call Sprint and ask for an unlock request.
If it has IOS7 it can't be jailbroken to unlock which is a felony I might add and in order to make an unlock go through you have to restore the phone using itunes with a computer which by default puts IOS7 on it making those efforts pointless.
- What prepaid services can I bring my Sprint iPhone 4 to? I want to be able to bring my iPhone 4 to a cheaper prepaid service/plan (similar to virgin mobile, page plus, and metropcs). I don't understand "flashing", nor do I want to pay anyone to "flash" my phone for me, so that's out of the picture. I would love a list of cheap plans that would let me bring my own device that is a Sprint iPhone 4.
- What network iPhone can I bring to Virgin Mobile? I'm looking to switch to Virgin Mobile because their unlimited plan is dirt cheap. The problem is the iPhones are ridiculously priced. Does anyone know if I can somehow jailbreak a phone from ANY other network and use it on Virgin Mobile?
- Possible to flash a sprint iphone 4s to metro pcs or use it on straighttalk? Wondering if there's any way to flash a sprint iphone 4s to metro pcs? I hear they are both cdma networks. Any info if it works with all things like texting, calling, and data? What about using it on straight talk? Can you just buy that mini sim card and pop it in? I've seen the slot on the sprint iphone 4s. Can anyone give me info on both services? Much appreciated.
- Is it possible to unlock a iPhone 5 on ntelos to get on sprint service? I recently got a iPhone 5 and It has ntelos service on it. I want to get rid of the ntelos service to get sprint on it. I guess I'm saying that I want to factory reset the phone so I can put my sprint service on it? Any way to do that? Without bricking the phone?
