Is it possible to have a Verizon iPhone 4s work with AT&T?
My friend wants to get a new phone since hers broke, and since our friend is selling his she decided to buy it off of him. However, the phone is a Verizon iPhone 4s and she's under AT&T.
Can the carrier unlock the phone for her to use? Or can AT&T Unlock the phone for her? I know that T-Mobile was doing something similar with iPhones before they became usable for T-mobile so I was wondering if AT&T was doing the same thing. We don't want to jailbreak the phone in case something happens to it and we need to get it fixed by Apple.
The 4S has a sim card slot so get it unlocked by anyone who unlocks online.
No, the CDMA phone will not work on the GSM network.
The only thing I could think of is jailbreaking it.
Try checking with Verizon if they can unlock the phone because I doubt ATT will unlock it since it is originally from Verizon. If Verizon won't unlock it, then you need to get a service to have it unlock for you. After the iPhone Factory Unlock, you will be able to use it to different carriers, also on ATT.
