Is it possible to unlock virgin mobile for the iphone 4?

I'm currently in the middle of trying to buy an iphone 4 and this guy says it does not have sim slot so it uses the esn system but he also says that it is only on virgin mobile, is it possible to unlock this? That way it isn't virgin mobile? Also he says even if it has a bad esn number i can still use a prepaid on it since its prepaid. This is what he said "fyi just so you know, esn don't matter on prepaid phones since the companys don't lock em up since its a preapaid ya know " so yeah i want to know if i can get rid of virgin mobile and if its possible to restore it because he sed it needs to be restored since he bought it off of someone from ebay please let me know as soon as possible! I need answers by today

Yes it is possible to unlock any iPhone 4 using a computer based application called Redsn0w (literally spelled like that) you can download it hear ( http://www.redsn0w.us/?m=1 ) or just google "Redsn0w Download" just like that, it's a computer based application which means you'll need to connect to your computer to use it, also it requires you to go into DFU mode which means you'll need the Home and Power button to work to do this, it gives you instructions on what to do but I recommend you look up an instructional video on YouTube (search "How to Unlock iPhone 4 with Redsn0w") but its not that complicated so you should have no trouble when doing this
