Is my iPhone 5 iCloud locked or not?
I'm unsure as to whether my phone is iCloud locked or not. I dropped my phone and half the screen had lines and was unresponsive however the other half was okay to use, I decided I wanted to sell my phone for spares or repairs to go towards a new one so I went to iCloud in settings and signed out, I would've thought this left the phone free of icloud, but then I went to the icloud.com website and erased everything from the phone (I think this is a cautionary measure for if your phone is lost or stolen but i used it because I couldn't delete everything due to the half of the screen being unresponsive) and I don't know if this locks the phone with iCloud. I have no idea if that made sense but I just wanted to know if I will have to mark my phone as being iCloud locked when I sell it for spares and repairs, thanks.
Do the erase all content to wipe it, it will require your password, once its wiped then it will show a screen to enter your id/setup… At that point it is no longer locked.
- Icloud signed in but not locked? Hi, I just bought an iPhone 4s off of ebay and the icloud is signed in under the previous owners apple id. I'm still however able to use the phone and download apps and everything. I don't know what I will be missing/losing if I don't return the phone and the old ID stays signed in to icloud It is wiped of everything but their contacts and the fact that they are signed into icloud. I'm asking if this will have any effect on me using the phone
- How much should a icloud locked iPhone should be at least be selled at? It's a Iphone 6s plus? So I bought a Iphone today from this guy and when I end up resetting it, it was locked. And the dude said he can't do anything cause he didn't know and i don't know what to do with it. I read mostly everywhere you can't do anything with a locked phone and it's pretty much useless. Unless I find a way to unlock it.
- Has anybody opened a locked icloud iPhone before from a 3rd party company and not from Apple? I bought a locked icloud iPhone 6 for like 100 bucks and wondered if I can open it from a 3Rd party company and I live in Iraq so there are no apple stores.
- Can I use an icloud locked iPhone 5 screen (digitizer & lcd) on another iPhone 5? I messed my iPhone 5s digitizer and LCD up. And the cost of a whole new one is pretty high costing more than $50. I could just buy an icloud locked iPhone 5 and have all the parts for the same price.
