Is my iphone 5 still locked?
Due to forget password, I reset my iphone in factory mode. Is it still locked? I don't have any sim now. It was belongs to either rogers or fido. If it is still lock, is it safe to unlock by buying a unlock code online. Do I need any sim to unlock it?
If i were you i would take it to the apple store before you try any of this. They might be able to do something so simple and fix it.
If the iphone was unlocked the the factory meaning "it was originally bought unlocked" then it should be unlocked even if you reset it… If someone at the mall or something unlocked it then there's a possibility that it can re-lock itself again. Good luck. I wouldnt worry too much and YES its safe to buy an unlock code.
- When I sell my iphone is it still locked to a network? Basically I have an iphone 4s and want to sell it it so I can upgrade but I want to keep the same phone number. I'm with 3 network at the mo so do I just say that's the network I'm with or will I have to get it 'unlocked' to sell it on? also how do I wipe all my personal stuff off it like iTunes etc?

So i bought an iphone 6s off some website because I was gonna test it out for a video and the person I bought it off said that it wasn't locked but turns out it is so what if I were to take the sim card out would the phone still be locked
- Iphone is still locked to network after restoring phone? Last year I bought an iphone 6s from carphone warehouse and decided to put a 3 sim card, but it ended up locking the phone to the 3 network. Now I would like to move to O2. After phoning customer service and the 3 website, it made me believe that I can unlock it by backing up the phone then restoring it will unlock. But after backing the phone with the 3 sim card and restoring the phone with no sim card inside, the phone is still network locked. Please leave your experiences and solutions
- Iphone has defect screen but still connects to itunes, does the iphone still work? My iphone was ran over by a car and the screen is completely shattered. when i connect it to my laptop, the iphone appears in itunes and i can access all pictures, videos,… now my question is: does this mean that the iphone still functions properly and just needs a new screen?
