Is Sprint really giving iPhone 7 Pluses for free or is it just propaganda?

So I heard that Sprint, on their website, are giving free iPhone 7 Pluses, and I, of course, would like to get one for myself, but before purchasing anything online, I would like to make sure that these "free" iPhone 7 Pluses truly are free, and not just some deception used by Sprint.

1. You have to get 2 lines.

2. You only get 1 iPhone 7 plus for free. The second phone is 6s/se.

3. You have to have sprint as your carrier for 2 years.

AT&T has a similar program. Companies are competing with each other for businesses and one way to make you stick with them is to make you sign the contract from hell. You have to stick with the company for 2 years and if another carrier offers a better deal then too bad because you're stuck.

I think your plan also costs more than if you get a pay as you go plan where you bring your own phone. Companies aren't going to give you a $900 phone for free.

Play around on the sprint website and notice how it changes based on what you select. For example if I choose the 128 gb over the 32 gb iPhone 6s, I have to put an extra 100$ down.

Usually that means buy one get one free with contract or with an agreement to use their service for 2 years or something similiar. No one obviously just hands out free stuff, they wouldnt' be in business very long. These are usually pretty good deals though.
