Is there a jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3? - 1

People say that there has not been a jailbreak for 6.1.3 but my friend has a jailbroken iPod with the update 6.1.3 how's that possible? I want it on my iPhone 4s. Is iphones different from iPods?

There's no jailbreak for 6.1.3 yet. The last one they have is 6.1.2. Apple somehow made it so you can't jailbreak the 6.1.3 update, I've tried trust me

No there's not, and there's not going to be one for a while because the teams don't want to pull out there exploits quite yet. Just wait.

I came across this http://bedford.patch.com/groups/2013-relay-for-life/p/jailbreak-ios-6--601--61--611--612--613--614--7-untethered_fac0661a

No there isn't a jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3. You can't jailbreak your iPhone 4S on 6.1.3, and you can't either downgrade it as of now. You will have to wait until a new jailbreak is released.

I suggest you that you don't update immediately if a new software update is released.
There are many cool tweaks in Cydia (like real bluetooth sharing), which usually don't work on the latest software. Next time, you should wait until a jailbreak is released for the new version and all the tweaks you need are updated as well.

Your friend probably has an iPod Touch 4th gen. Yes, in some ways they are different.

A tethered jailbreak is available for some devices (iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4th gen, iPhone 3GS). Not for the iPhone 4S though.

(Hint: a tethered jailbreak is when you have to connect it to your computer to reboot it. This kind of jailbreak is usually released much sooner than a standard one because it's easier to create)
