Is there any hope to bypassing an activation screen on the iphone6?

Please hold back any negative judgement. LESSON LEARNED!
I purchased a Iphone 6 off a man off craigslist. Paid him and went about my way. When I got home I'm stuck at what would be the screen to log into his email & password. I tried many times to contact this man and he deleted his account through craigslist. Yes, I know leads me to think the phone was stolen also. So, I take out the sim card and says Tmobile. I call Tmobile and explain to them the same situation. I give her the IMEI number on the phone. She clears with me that the phone is not on any type of block with them. The phone is not reported stolen, nor does anyone owe money on it etc. I asked her if its possible to track down the person who owns it to get this removed, She tells me there's no way for them to do so. UGHH! She says to me that she can direct me to APPLE and speak to someone on there end about seeing if there's a way to bypass it since there's no block on this phone with tmobile. I speak to APPLE and the man pretty much tells me, This was a hard lesson learned for me and that I should pretty much be smarter the next time around. I guess I now have one expensive paper weight. I see all these sites online to pay to have it bypassed, but who knows what's scams anymore or not. Is there even a company that will do this so I can take it there and pay for it to be done and know I'm not being scammed. This really sucks! And shame on someone for taken someone's hard earned money and leaving them!

We all get ripped off but we definitely learn from it. I bought 200 dollar speakers and when we opened the box there was no wires lol.

This question has been asked way too many times. And the answer is still no. There's absolutely no way to get past the iCloud lock.

You can resell the phone on eBay for parts/repair. That's just about the only thing you can do with it.

You got scammed, I agree it sucks but had you asked here before buying everyone would have told you to check it first before paying, its very easy to check.

You can't bypass the activation lock without the password. That's the whole idea, and it works very well. So you now have an expensive doorstop. Next time, don't buy a stolen phone.

  • Water damaged IPhone 4s. Is there hope? Today I idiotically fell into a pool with my iPhone in my pocket. It was submerged for about three seconds and afterward there was no display but it would still vibrate at messages and calls. I shook the water out of it immediately but I couldn't get it in rice for about 20 mins. I took out thr sim card and managed to turn off my phone and I'll let it sit in the rice for 24-48 hours. Is this just a lost cause or is there actually hope in me reviving my "child"

  • My iPhone SE went for a swim with me - Any hope? So right now I'm in Outer Banks (beautiful area, my family rented a house with a pool and a short walk to the beach) and I went for a 5ish minute swim in the pool. Then my mom called me in to have lunch, and that s when I realized I f ed up. My family is big, so I had a bunch of suggestions being thrown at me at once, a bunch of them being the bag or rice. We don't have rice at the house, and nobody s gone food shopping yet. Is my phone a lost cause? Any advice would be a great help.
