My earbuds will not work on my laptop?
I have a HP Compaq nc6400. The earbuds are new and came with an iPhone 5. They have worked until today. They are in the right hole, the volume for everything is on. I have tried restarting my laptop. The sound works when the earbuds are out, but not in. Please help?
Added (1). I looked at the sound settings before; everything looked like it normally does and nothing was muted. I didn't have anything else, but I tried another pair of earbuds and the problem persisted.
If you double click the volume icon on your computer to open the sound settings, something might be set in there that is causing this problem. Also, try putting the earbuds in something else to make sure it 's not the earbuds that are not working.
- Why won't my iPhone earbuds work on my iPhone but work fine on a computer? So I have the worst luck with earbuds and it happens to be reoccurring. I have a normal iPhone 5 and I enjoy music but when I listen to my songs only one earbud will work while the other one is dead. I can go on my computer and they will both work so I was wondering why they both won't work on my phone?

- How to get my iphone 5 earbuds to work? I bought the new iphone 5 and I'm trying to use the headphones today and i'm only picking up the background sound not the actually speaking content. The only time i can hear the dialouge is when i hold down the middle of the volume button on the actual headphones. Other than that it is static or background noise.
