My iphone 3g the Wi-Fi is not working?

I have an old phone the 1st gen of iphone, i used to have a Wi-Fi on my setting but now it won't allow me to do so, even my software is uptodate. Please tell me how to fix it or if you have any suggestion to fix it, ty

If you updated to iOS 6 that is the problem either go back to a previous software or call apple and see if they have a different solution

So today i was charging my iphone 4s with it's USB but with the ipod adaptor and then it was working good for 2 days noe but then a while ago the charger exploded while my iphone was connected and then no matter what I do it doesn't work can anyone please help me I was gonna go to the shop where I bought from and see if they can do anything about but is there any hope of it working again please help me
