My iPhone 4S is charging when connected to my computer, but not recognized in iTunes?
When I connect my iPhone 4S into my laptop, it charges, but iTunes does not recognize it as a device. I've updated the most recent version of iTunes, as well as the most recent iPhone software. I've tried re-starting my computer, turning off and on my phone, and reconnecting multiple times, but nothing is working. I also checked Device Manager, and my iPhone is not listed under the USB option. I checked to see if the Apple Mobile Device Manager is installed on my laptop, and it is.
I've also tried two different cords, so I don't think a mangled cord is the problem.
Any advice?
Completely uninstall iTunes and delete all directories except for the one holding the music. Remove old installer packages. Reboot, then install the current iTunes version. Reboot
- Wi-Fi Connected - but no internet on devices connected? Hi, The Problem is - i set up a wireless network today for my Iphone 5 and my blackberry, from my main desktop at home, and all went well and Both are connected to it, as well as my laptop. But now whenever i try using the internet on these devices ( iphone etc ) it does not work, although the main desktops internet is working… Can anyone help me? I'm using WINDOWS 7.
- Why is the Wi-Fi connected to computer but not to iphone 4? I have been having trouble connecting to iphone. My wireless connects home to Wi-Fi and others but at work it won't connect. It says it connected to computer but on my phone says connected but when i actually go into Wi-Fi it just has a waiting sign going around which won't connect. Does anyone know why this could be?
- Problems with iPhone not being recognized on iTunes? My iTunes stopped recognizing both my iPod touch and my iPhone, and I have done everything that I have seen online to do (uninstall and reinstall iTunes, uninstall and reinstall device drivers, change usb ports, change iPod cables, etc.) and my iTunes STILL won't recognize my iPhone. Any suggestions?
- My iphone says i'm connected to Wi-Fi but when i try to run something it says i'm not connected? My phone shows signal, it has a check mark by the device but when i try to open an app it says can't find a connection.
