My iPhone 4S is stuck in headphone mode, what do I do?
I can't hear any sound, no sound on any apps and no sound in my music library. The volume bar has disappeared and only with head phones can I hear sound. What do I do?
If you have an ihome, try plugging it in and out of it (numerous times). This happened to me once and that actually fixed it.
If you have a can of compressed air, try blowing out the headphone port. You can also try stripping down a q-tip, dipping it into Windex or something similar, wringing it out and then, using it to clean out the headphone port.
It's worked for me.
- Somehow, a huge piece of the headphone jack got stuck in the headphone port, and I can't find any I think the headphone type is just a normal iPhone headphone. So ground, audio, mic and some of the plastic, or whatever it is, around it, got stuck in there, and it's not super deep, probably because it's almost the whole headphone jack, but it's still in there. Someone please help! I can't find anything! It's just the headphone jack tip that got stuck for everyone else! It's a laptop.

- Is my Iphone stuck in headphone mode or is it a broken earpiece? Just yesterday I got a pre-owned Iphone 4S. I was making a test call to make sure that I was connected to the service. I notice immediately that I could only hear the other end when either headphones were in or it was on speakerphone. When I'm not making calls I can hear the clicks of typing and turning the device on and off just fine. I was just wondering if my Iphone is stuck in headphone mode or not and if there's a way I can fix it.

I have tried blowing into it, sucking, putting the headphone in and out repeatedly and tried several different headphones, tried to change the volume using the headphones and it doesn't work.can't hear anyone when i call them unless on speaker and can't hear music etc?
