My iphone 5 is using 7.1gb of memory on photos and i have only 200 photos?
I recently discovered that my iphone would not allow me to take pictures as i was out of memory it says i have 3gb left of 10.3gb and the most usage by a mile is my photos which is using 7.gb of memory all my other things arnt even a gb i don't understand this as i have around 200 photos in camera roll same in pictures and 33 videos, but surely that wouldnt use 7gb would it? It also keeps attempting to back my phone up but gives error of no memory please help thanks.
It's an iphone, and therefore completly mental.
buy a phone with a decent size memory or simply delete your photos!
Depending on how long the videos are, yes, it could be normal. Photos themselves shouldnt take up more than 1gb by themselves, but if you have 33 vids, if they are long enough and of high enough quality, it could definitely take up that much space.
My guess would be those videos. I'm not sure the quality the iPhone 5 records in, but my iPhone 4 used up 150 mb on a 6 minute long video just now. Imagine the data if you have 1 hour of footage in 1080p. I think it may also be all your apps, you just don't realize it. If you have 20 apps at say 50 mb a piece (which is a low estimate for most people) you're looking at a gig alone for that. Music also takes a chunk, I have 3 gigs out on 120 songs.
- Why are Apple still using dual-core CPUs and 1GB of RAM? Other top of the rnage phones like the S4 are rocking a 1080p 5"+ display, 2GB of RAM and a quad-core CPU and yet the iPhone 5 and 5s do not even have a 720p display and are still are dual-core and 1GB of RAM.

- Someone airdroped around 200 photos to me a few times and when I accepted the third time my phone screen turned black When I open it now it says it needs charging and turns on when I hold on button for a few seconds. It turns on but the screen turns black after opening it again. I have an Iphone 7
- Photos on Iphone taking up 8GB and I only have 200 photos? A couple months ago I got my Iphone 4s fixed and the only thing that got deleted on it was my photos and it still said it was taking up 8 GB and now I wanna update to IOS7 but I don't have enough space and I only have 200 photos and it says its taking up 8GB how do I fix this? Yeah I know but even if I have ZERO photos its still says photos are taking up 8GB
