The battery needs to be replaced. It sounds like it can't hold a charge anymore.
What do you expect from an Apple product? Lol
The battery is probably bad.
Like the others, that's a classic sign of a bad battery.
You can replace it yourself, you just have to be extremely careful with the TouchID flex cable, or you can pay Apple $79 plus shipping and tax.
- Why do I do this? I'm very very very tired yet I don't want to sleep? I want to sleep because I'm practically blinking and bobbing my head side to side like a drunken man but I just don't want to sleep. I watch tv or go on Facebook or play on my iPhone. - New unlocked iphone 5s (sprint original carrier) battery drains fast and takes longer to charge? It's a brand new phone from EBAY. Everything looks good except battery. it took about 2.5 hours to full charge, overnight it goes RED no SIM inserted and no usage just idle entire night, i upgraded IOS to 12.x still same issue. Please advice i like to retain this phone if battery issue is resolved otherwise return it.
