My iPhone 6 fell in the toilet, will it be okay?
It slipped out of my hand and fell into the toilet, it was probably submerged for 1 second. I was watching a video, the audio immediately stopped working when I took the phone out.
I quickly took of the case and put it in a pot of rice. I read that I should turn the phone off so I went back and turned it off and put it back in.
How long should I leave my phone in the rice? My brother dropped his phone a month ago and the audio didn't work at first but it did later and now his phone works fine.
But I have also read stories of how once water touches the phone, corrosion starts and it's too late. Do you have any stories of your own? Tips?
Leave it turned off, the rice thing doesn't work.
You should leave it in the rice and in the sun. Like open the top of the container and leave it in the sun. It should stay for 1-2 days. It should be fixed after this but it may not. It's not guranted that it will work
I previously did the same thing to my iPhone 5c, i've dropped in numerous times haha anyway I left mine in the rice for at least two days or until I could pull it out and it would work.
