My IPhone fell in the toilet for like four seconds?
I dried it off and seeing that it worked fine, stupidly kept it on the rest of the night. Once I got home I did some research and my phone has been in rice and turned off for the last twenty four hours. If it was working fine before and I have had it in rice for the last 24 hours what are any other steps I should be taking to save my phone?
4 seconds? Why would you let it sit for so long?
Leaving it powered while wet will negate anything you can do now. It will fail, unfortunately.
I put mine in rice and it has been fine ever since. Do it again as you may still have some water left in there.
My iPhone took a 30 second to a minuet dip in my hot tub.
I didn't waste time with rice. My friend had done the same in his pool, and told me to take a vacuum and vacuum it out!
So suction the vacuum over the speakers, charging ports, ear phone jack, etc.
It took me 10 mins and my phone was back to normal. Lasted another year before upgrading and got $100 for it at the store so they didn't see any visible water damage.
