My iPhone text/imsg isn't working?

Hi i'm wondering if people have had this problem before and can tell me how to fix this. My iPhone 5s can't text apple and non apple phones. I can't text my friends or some family. When I go to type the typing bar where you disable I message or something I glitched in to it so it won't turn off. Hope you can help.

You have to go to settings and then imessage. Make sure you're phone number is checked and make sure the settings are right. Also make sure that you're carrier has the phone connected by making a call or something.

  • Why isn't my text tone working on my iPhone 4s? It's a brand new phone. The volume is all the way up and all of my other tones work fine. In the settings, it indicates that it will both play the tone and vibrate when I get a text. It does neither.
  • Why isn't my iPhone sending text message? So my iPhone won't send TEXT messages. IMessage works. Other people can send me text messages but whenever I try to send a message, it says "message failed to send" or something like that. I have lycamobile carrier and nothing like this has ever happened. I have restarted my phone and all of that. I changed nothing in settings.
  • Why isn't my iPhone letting me text other phones (non iPhones)? When my phone isn't paid I noticed I could still text like usual but only if IIm connected to the Wi-Fi, for some reason now all it says it message not deliverd when I text someone without an iPhone but when I text someone with one it sends automatically.
  • My iPhone says that my Notes is taking up 1.79 GB of storage. I only have 3 notes, and there isn't a lot of text in them. How do I fix this? Recently there were a lot of notes on my phone, but I deleted most of them until there were only three notes left. However, my phone still says my Notes takes up 1.79 GB. I tried writing a really lengthy note to see if the GB would go higher, but it didn't change. I don't want to delete my three remaining notes, which have very little text in them. I doubt that these notes are taking up 1.79 GB. What is the problem here, and how do I fix it?
