My new laptop won't connect to my iPhone?
I just bought a new laptop and I've gone to charge my iPhone 4s on it but it won't connect through a usb cable. It just makes the connect beep again and again and again for however long I leave it in for. I've tried a couple of usb cable to make sure its not a damaged one. I've tried from all of the ports and its the same. My iphone still connects to other laptops fine
You need the iPhone drivers on your laptop.
-Make sure your usb cable is data cable.
-Make sure your itunes is latest verison.
-Make sure you installed usb drivers.
-Make sure your have direct usb connecting without any usb ports divider.
There another similar problem which is conflict between 32bits and 64bits OS.
Do you have the drivers for the iPhone. Maybe you can download from the Apple website?

I have itunes installed on the laptops but the phone won't even get to the connecting to iTunes stage. Can I download drivers for the phone somewhere?
All the others write about iTunes and connecting for file transfer. But you did not ask about files; you asked about charging.
Probably the "new laptop" can't charge the iPhone because of power limitations on the USB port. Not uncommon on laptops. Use a wall charger like you used to.
All that can be guessed from just "new laptop" from you and no description.
Download and install Itunes. We charge iPhone often through windows laptop with itunes
- Why won't my Iphone 4s connect to my new HP laptop? I just bought my laptop about 2 days ago and i downloaded itunes. As soon as i plugged in my iphone, a background noise popped up, and nothing happened. So i opened itunes and it would not show my iphone. Also in my computer, it did not register it either. PS: i know its not a faulty cord, because i tried 3 different ones, and every time i plug it in or unplug it makes that background noise.
