New isp. All devices connecting to Wi-Fi except laptop?
Brighthouse techs are stumped. I have a toshiba satellite p855-s5200 running windows 7 64-bit.
After switching from verizon to brighthouse this computer will not connect to the internet.
The laptop says that it has perfect connection strength. When switching to a wired connection, it doesn't acknowledge the change.
after resetting the router the internet will work breifly (less than 2 minutes).
I have an iphone and 4 android devices connected and working flawlessly. Brighthouse guy had his laptop connected with no issues.
the router is set as "tkip/aes"
Could verizon have anything to do with this? Any thoughts/ advice would be greatly appreciated.
I think the laptop is not connected properly please check internet setting on this laptop
- Will setting up a VPN prevent ISP throttling of my connection? My download speed drops while playing xbox live from 6.0 to 0.7 and disconnects me constantly. Is there a way I can setup a vpn to prevent throttling preferably off my iPhone? And if so how?
- Will connecting my iPhone to new laptop delete everything? I just got a new laptop and want to connect my iPhone with it instead of my brothers one which I had been using. All the music on my iPhone is pretty old anyway so I wouldn't mind if that got deleted and I had to start again with music, but will things like contacts and photos and everything else be deleted too?
- My iphone 3 GS has lost all sound except phone calls. What has happened? Other than phone calls my phone has no sound at all, not even a click from the keyboard. I have also noticed that video will not stream in you tube. I have not been playing around with the settings at all. This has all happened suddenly.
- Laptop gets slow internet connection, yet all my other devices get it at full speed? This never used to be an issue up until a few weeks ago, we had a 60MB connection that was buffed up to 100, my laptop used to download at around 5.5 - 6MB per second, whereas now its between 2 and 2.5, yet my iphone and all other computers in the house still get the full speed. I have checked the drivers which are all up to date, I can't discover the problem, what could be causing this? And how can I go about solving it?
