Attempting to get $499.99. Doesn't mean anyone is buying at that price.

Selling for $150 on eBay again don't know if anyone is buying at that price.

Can i call someone to confirm it's real?
You can try a currency dealer (coin shop), or take it to your bank. They can probably tell.

This 499.99 is just what someone is trying to sell it for. I doubt there are any takers (unless there's something unusual about it). Check on eBay for worth. They seem to be going for $125, and not 499.99 (as 1st poster mentioned).

You've sold your phone and you got an old $100 bill and it's value at $499.99? How could that be.

You have a now obsolete 1975 Canada $100 bill. It appears to be real, but only a physical inspection of the actual specimen by an expert coin/banknote dealer or even an employee at your bank could disclose if it is real or counterfeit by checking out its safety features.

While this note was withdrawn from circulation it can still be exchanged at banks for its face amount of $100. However, that being said it may bring a premium value by a collector. Your note is listed as and does appear to be in being in at least AU (Almost Uncirculated) condition from the scan (it is rather difficult to see all the folds and creases via scan.) There were 97, 600, 000 of these notes printed so there's still quite a considerable number of them for collectors to get their hands on which is reflective of the price. This item is currently worth about $150 - $200 retail in its present condition. Your Lawson/Bouey signatures are somewhat rarer then the Crow/Bouey signatures and might therefore bring the upper limit. The $499.99 you mention is a totally arbitrary list price by a dealer and I doubt very much that anyone would pay that price. Here are the current offerings on eBay:
