I have an iPhone 4S, and it is currently updated to the latest software version IOS 6.0.1 and my iTunes is also up to date.
The problem is that every time I try to sync my phone, iTunes just freezes, specifically when it's on Step 3 or Step 4, and I have to unplug my phone for iTunes to unfreeze, but the sync never goes through.
This happened three times so far. After the first time, I forgot what I did to fix it. After the second time, what I did that fixed it was un-clicking "Sync music" under my iPhone's tabs. Then the third time it happened- it started freezing. Right after I added new music to iTunes. I tried un-clicking "sync music" again but it didn't work, and it still freezes on step 3 and 4.
I don't know why it randomly stops working because it works perfectly fine when I sync my iPod.
Other things I tried:
-Closing and opening ITunes
-Restarting my laptop
-Using a command prompt (don't remember what it was but it didn't work)
-Clicking/Unclicking "sync music"
-Unplugging the USB from my laptop
-Updating iTunes
-Updating my phone
None of these methods work for all three times this problem has occurred. And I think it's a problem with either my phone, or iTunes, nothing with my computer.
Can anyone help me? Tell me why iTunes randomly freezes every time I try to sync my phone- works one minute then stops working the other; why iTunes can't sync my phone but can sync my iPod perfectly fine, without freezing at all.
It's really frustrating and I'd like to sync music to my phone without a problem. Any help is appreciated
