What is the virgin mobile super-tab?

So I'm 13 and really want a phone, an iPhone 4 specifically. My parent are not keen on the idea of signing for me for a 3 year contract. So then I was browsing and saw an option for this supertab thing.
What is it?
How does it work?
How much would you have to pay monthly (like for texting etc)?

Why is my iPhone 4 refusing to charge?

Last night I plugged it into the charger and after a few seconds it stopped charging and said "Charging not supported with this accessory." I've tried charging it in different positions and with different chargers and it will not charge for more than a minute or two. It's now down to 7% battery, what should I do?

Can you turn data off on an iPhone?

I'm looking to get an iPhone. I understand that you have to pay a monthly charge for data no matter what, but to be quite honest I do not go many places that don't have Wi-Fi, nor do I feel I need to be able to get on to the internet everywhere I go, so I was hoping there's a setting to turn off data so I can get the smallest plan possible.

Is that an option?

Added (1). I'm not saying not GET a data plan, but is there a way to turn it off and only use wi-fi? Why is it "necessary"?
