Restoring backup in used iphone?
Hi you have i phone 4 andi phone 5, i did backup the iphone 4 and i want to restor the backup in the iphone5, how can i do it? Sice the roster is when you open new phone, but mine "iphone5" isn't new so how can i do it?
If your iPhone 5 was reset by the last owner, then restoring the data to it from your iPhone 4 will be identical to doing so on a new phone. I know, as I replaced my old iP4 with a secondhand iP5s last week.
If your iP5 was not reset then you'll have to get the last owner to do so for you. He or she can do so remotely using Find My iPhone if necessary. If you can't get it reset and erased then you've either got a lost/stolen iP5 or have wasted your money on an unusable iPhone.
- Why does restoring my iphone from a backup use up so many gigabytes? I have an iphone 5 and I'm trying to restore my phone from last backup. Unfortunately, the back up is cancelled about 30 minutes in because my hard disk runs out of space. I have 10 gigs left so there should be any problem with that. I went to mobilesync folder and then to the backup folder and there's one folder there. Once you click on that folder there are thousands of files in that folder that have several modified dates on them. Basically can I just delete the old dated files?

I backed up my old iPhone in July and I was wondering if I can plugged my new phone to get that backup. I'm just scared because once you plug your phone in it backs up that phone. & I've been using my new iphone and it already has like apps and stuff on it. How can I get the back up data onto my new phone? Does it give me the option when I plug my phone in?
