Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini or iPhone 5?

I'm getting a new phone and it is a choice between the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini or the iPhone 5. The fullsize S4 is too expensive so that is not on the cards.

I like how customisable the Samsungs are with wallpapers and all the different homescreens and the nice features they have, but I do like iPhones and hear they're very reliable etc. I also think ios7 is lovely. Which do you think is the better choice?

I don't never used iPhone and I think it is more of a brand name that make it so popular but here a few things to know about Android phone that make it better than iOS phone.

* Pricing is much affordable compare to overpriced iPhone
* Android phone you can rooted your device which give you so much more access from setting a firewall, ad-blocker, fully backup your data, and so much more.
* You can install any apps to your android device even the one not from the app-store.

Do you know how many phones are superior to the IP5 ie closer to the S4 Mini before you get to IP5?
