Selling and buying iPhone's Apple ID Activation Lock?

So I've gotten into the business of buying broken iPhone's and fixing them for profit. I've studied quite a lot and read 2 books on iPhone's and now decently knowledgeable about them now. Anyways I have a question about the Apple ID activation lock.

I just received a iPhone and its unlocked and working 100% fine (after I fixed the Wi-Fi antenna). Its running a iOS 6.0.0. I want to update it to a most recent one, but pretty sure every iPhone has a apple ID lock on it. I bought the phone from America (I live in Canada) off eBay.

1. Does every single iPhone require you to enter a apple ID activation after updating/restoring, or is there a way to bypass it and have the phone permanently unlocked from ever having to enter the apple ID after updating/restoring?

2. When the phone is accessible and working fine, how can you replace the existing apple ID on the iPhone with your own without the password of the previous apple ID?

3. Can you factory restore the iPhone like its just came out of the box? Like make it work as if there has never been an apple ID on the phone?

Just need this information so I don't run into trouble when i sell the phone to someone and in the future they complain to me that they can't access their phone because they have a apple ID on it to update it.

If your in the market of buying and selling iPhone's, could you please let me know what you do?

That is going to happen with nearly every phone that you're going to encounter. They would actually have to sign out of their iCloud and their Apple ID through the iTunes Store on their phone. If they don't the only way that you can is if you have the password to that Apple ID. So now you're going to have take much more care making sure that information has been removed before they give you the phone. Otherwise you are just wasting your money on bricks. And Apple can't get rid of it for you either. Well they can but the method is extremely complex and time-consuming. And would require multiple calls over a period of time.

  • Which is better: selling on amazon or selling on ebay? I have an individual seller account and I've noticed that my products sell much faster or ebay. However, I sold two iphones. My final sale fee $1100. However, ebay charged me a final sale fee of $135 Then I was charged $40 by paypal Then I paid $60 total to ship both items. On my amazon account I sold 1 phone. The phone cost $180 Amazon took out $30 Shipping cost $10 So I made $140
