Should I buy a laptop or an iPhone?
So I've been wanting an iphone for a long time now. The phone I have right now is just a basic phone and I dropped it a lot so it doesn't work right anymore.
Today my dad asked if I wanted him to buy me a used laptop for school with the money he made at work today. He was like "i know you want a phone but you could use this for school" so I was like "okay." And its true I could use it for school cuz we do have alot of stuff online we have to do. But e have a family computer we could use at home or my moms laptop which she shares witht he whole family or at school i could always use the library computers.
plus next year our school is going "1 to 1" so every student is going to be required to have a certain device that the school chooses. So I could manage without having a laptop.btw i'm a sophomore in high school.
So now my dads giving me the choice between an iphone and the used laptop. The iphone i want is also $200. I think I'm going to get the iphone. But i don't know what do you guys think?

Actualy at my school i'm aloud to use my phone during study hall and self direct time and lunch and sometimes they let you take pics of the assignment board or look something up in clas.altho i dnt hve a smartphone so i dnt really use it in school unless i'm bored in study hall and decide to txt someone at another school hehe
Added (2). And we only get an iphone at a discount during august. After tht it wud be from like 400-800 bucks depending on which iphone.soooif i want one i gotta get it now or else nxt time we get a discount will be in june 2014 and who knows if theyll buy me one then
I would go with the laptop. It is easier to see and type on, and I doubt the school will let you use your phone in class.
