Should i buy iphone 5, Samsung Galaxy S3 or wait for iphone 6?

I never had a smartphone, my old phone is almost dieing already 6 years i have this phone and i only charge it once a week.
My friend has an Iphone 4S and i see that its really good but i'm worried about the battery life, i whant a phone that doesn't need to charge every 3/6 hours but at the same time its has a good camera for photos, texting messages, music and videos. I'm almost 2 months searching tons of information about good and bad of the iphone 5 or Samsung Galaxy S3 and i'm still looking what's the best phone for me or should i wait for next year?

Added (1). I have to wait for December because the iphone 5 still didn't arrived in Portugal on stores you have to buy online, i will try to have the two phones on my hands and see witch is best for me.

I'd say S3 for lots of free apps choices!

Just get the Samsung Galaxy S3.

The S3 is pretty much the best phone out right now.

If you wait for the iPhone 6 or whatever, a year later you're probably going to come back and ask us for if you should wait for the iPhone 7 and so on. It's a fool's game.

I recommend you to go for the iPhone 5 because its the best smartphone which is available in the market now.
Iphone 5's battery backup is very very good and you will have access to the App Store which contains 680000 apps and games whereas if you purchase the Galaxy s3 then its battery backup is ok but since you will have access to Android Market, it hardly has 400000 apps and games which is much less as compared to the Apple's App Store.

Go for the s3 if you want one now, n the iphone 6 is 2 years away
if you can wait, i'd say go for the galaxy s4 when it comes out early/mid next year

IPhone 5; does everything better if not on par with S3. IF its battery life you're worried about grab the new iPhone; its definitely better than the S3. Google and see, especially for 4G. And once you start using the iPhone, you'll love the ease in which you get to do functions with. If you can go to a teleshop and try the two phones out, and see for yourself.
The S3 is no soluch when it comes to hardware, but its the OS that lets it down. Check out camera reviews and see, the iPhone does better than the S3.
Trust me, once you start using the iPhone you just won't regret it. Plus it has a better look, not like its made out of cheap plastic, like in the S3.
I'm not trying to market the iPhone 5, just wish i could afford to get one myself:'( and want people to experience the best of technology out there. If S3 suits you in design and all that, go for it, however i would like to say that iOS has really good security, and you won't accidentally install a virus or get issues like that with malware or hackers. I've had friends who've gotten viruses on android phones like the samsung note. But it all comes down to the end user; you and what you want.
Have a good time with whatever phone you decide to get, either way you'll enjoy the upgrade from an old phone.

And i own a iPhone 4S myself, and the battery life isn't as good as the new iPhone 5. I've checked.
