Should i buy this iphone cable on ebay?

Cables don't work based on iOS. Cables only work on connecting ports. You need is lightning adaptor and not 30 pin. I personally would get it as this is cheap.
- Which off brand lightning charge cable for iPhone should I buy? I have tried the cheaper ones on eBay and one from the tiger store but they wobble in the socket and don't charge it. Can anyone recommend a brand as I don't want to pay for the apple one. (Also it isn't the phone that's faulty as a friends cable worked)
- Which iphone should i buy? Should i buy one or an ipad? Pro's and cons of an ipone? I'm 15, and I use to have a phone but I got really bored with it so I got rid of it, I don't want to get an iphone then get bored of it do you think i will find them boring. But I want to get an ipad and really can't make up my decision, which one is better in the long run?!

What steps should I to be ensured the iPhone I buy off ebay will work with Virgin Mobile? And lastly, does Virgin Mobile really offer a $35/month plan for it?
