Should I get rid of my iPhone?
I hve to pay $40 a month extra for that stupid data package, so is my iPhone really worth it? I mean I never use any of my apps, all I use it for is to check the news and Facebook? The smart thing to do would be to go back to the flip phone I guess. What should I do?

I would get rid of it in your shoes. But if you're in a contract you'll have to pay an early cancellation fee if you do cancel the contract (and if you don't cancel, you'll have to keep paying the normal amount every month until the contract is done, whether you use the phone or not).
But once the contract is gone, you can sell your iPhone and make some $$$ back at least.
Get rid
Depends where you are. If your in the US, your in luck. Get a prepaid service. They're called MVNOs. An example would be Straight Talk wireless. Around $40/mo for unlimited everything.
