Should I get the S3, S4, or wait?

I'm the type of person who likes to hold on to money to see how much I have left (i guess I like to keep my 'cake' to marvel at it). Anyways I have gotten tired of my old iphone 4 (it was my mom's so don't think i'm spoiled, i really am not.) and I have been interested in the Samsung Galaxy S's. The new Samsung Galaxy S4 is the most advanced thing i've seen/heard and I'm just anxious to get something with magical air gesture technology. However my family has decided to switch over to Straight talk once my mothers contract is over (her iphone 5) or sometime, and that means I'd have to buy the phone with out a contract which would make the s4 5-6 times more then it costs on contract. So my question is, should I wait like a good girl until I have the money or time (I just thought of selling my iphone and ipod, and raise money selling old items) or just wait for the heck of it and see the options, or should I get the s3. I have felt in my life content with everything I had, when I got my iphone but I want something advanced, and I'm scared I'll be the stupid materialistc ***, and I hate that. Or should I wait a tiny bit and get the S4? Or instead of using it for a whole 'nother year, boom the S5 comes, out. What should I do? Should I just wait till S5 comes out? Oh and if you find sale prices without contract online, could you send me the links? Thanks guys.

Added (1). I have read an article that talks about how S5 might be revouloutionary. What's the point of getting a phone that will be 'old' in the next -6-12 months? I don't know, If i do get it I hope I can be fully satisfied. I'm just worried about the extremely expensive price for the S4

S4 is a must please don't listen to loser who said iPhone 5

Get the Samsung galaxy s4!

What was it that got you tired of the iPhone? Was it the same screen and same apps? Try getting more invested in the software aspect of the iPhone, jailbreak it and customize the heck out of it. Or was it the fact that the media has surrounded phone tech with expensive new technology and it's just making you anxious to get your hands on it? (The definition of materialistic *** is simply wanting everything because it's new, end of story.) You want it because it's new, but you don't want EVERYTHING that is new. I'm one of those people who firmly believe it is OKAY to invest your money on a new piece of technology without the cost of your dignity being crushed by all the folks who want to try and steal the glory of the new thing you get.

However,

I too own the Samsung GS4, Let me tell you all the highlighted features are neat to show off to friends/family, but they're not practical. No one scrolls through their phone using the air gestures on a daily basis, they still use the touch screen as normal unless they're showing the feature off to someone. However the screenshot palm gesture is pretty neat, I've used that one several times. Now onto the facts.

You will pay a mighty fine price for the biggest and baddest phone out there, whatever you see it to be (GS4, Iphone5, Xperia… Whatever it is.) If you feel your money will be worth it 2-4 years down the road, then invest, what do you have to lose other than the money, which. It's not like money can run out. It will always be there for the taking. But here's another fact to consider - your iPhone apps will easily transfer to a new iPhone, however you'll need to invest time and possibly even money, should you decide to switch out of iOS software.

My 2 reasons for choosing the Samsung GS4: 2600mAh removeable battery(stays on for 2 days with normal to low usage, 17-20+ hours on a heavy usage day), and removeable storage(oh no! My 2gb sd card filled up in the middle of a party! Oh wait! I have another backup SD card ready to pop in and keep going! Removeable storage to the rescue!) Good luck.

Well, every smartphone gets old in 6-12 months as a new version is released every time or a phone comes out with new looks and hardware. So, get the Samsung Galaxy S4 if you want to get a new phone or hold on to your iPhone 4 and see others advance.

  • Should I go and get the Iphone 5 or wait for the newest model to come out? I like apple products a lot, anyways today I heard their coming out with the newest model of the iphone 5. Should I wait to get the new one or should I go ahead and get the iphone 5, it's a lot cheaper now as well. What should I go with?
  • Should I get the Galaxy S4 or wait for the iPhone 5S? I've been doing some research online that the iPhone 5S won't probably come till this fall. So should i just get the Galaxy S4 in June, when my contract expires, to upgrade? Or should i just wait the extra 3 months for the iPhone 5S?
  • Should i get iPhone 5 or wait for 5s? So i was thinking to buy iPhone 5, but i heard a rumor that 5s coming out soon. I really need to get a new phone because i'm currently using iPhone 3g, and it's not functioning properly.
  • Should i get a iPhone 5 or wait? So my birthday will be middle of june and I'm getting a new phone, i want to get the newest iphone which i think will be the iPhone 5, but there has been some roumers of the next one coming out in the summer that could be after my birthday, so should i wait for that one or get a iPhone 5? Will there be any big differences? Thanks for leaving a comment! (And i don't care about the price)
