Should I take my DSLR to Thailand?

I'm going to Thailand for nearly 3 weeks at the end of the month and I'm undecided as to whether or not I should take my DSLR! I'm spending 5 nights in Bangkok, 6 nights in Chiang Mai and 5 nights in Phuket. I have my iPhone and a small waterproof point and shoot that I will be taking but I'm worried that I will regret not taking my good camera once I get there. My concerns are that it will annoy me always being around my neck and safety. It will be covered by insurance.

Can anyone who has been to Thailand with a SLR help me?

I've never been to Thailand, but I advice you to take your good camera. Wherever you are you will take pictures alike you will take moments and save them. It'd be better to have these moments in detail and with a good quality, when you will review them, I think so. Anyway, I love taking pictures by professional camera more than by the usual one and I suppose you are gonna love it. It's such an excitement occupation!
And don't worry! Just take your DSLR with you;)

Why the hell did you buy it if you are not going to use it.

I was thinking the same thing as Rat - - what is the sense of the thing - this is why you need a boyfriend - make him carry it…

  • What's the difference between the US and Thailand made iPhone 4s? I'm planning to buy an iPhone here at the Philippines. But, some shops offer iPhones made from Thailand, Korea, etc. (other than the US) Are they the same in terms of hardware? Some of my friends told me that if you buy a non-US made iphone, there's really no difference. Okay, so if I buy, let's say, the Thailand version of an iPhone 4s. It's really the same as every other iPhones out there? Well, minus the contracts, because I don't live in the US.
  • Should I get a DSLR camera or Get a lens for my iPhone 6? I have an iPhone 6 and all my photography is done via my phone. My birthday is coming up and I was wondering if I should rather get a DSLR or if buying a macro for my phone would be better. What do you recommend?
  • Should I buy iPhone 5S or should I buy a DSLR? I own a Samsung Galaxy S3. I wanted to buy a iPhone 5S. Do you think I should buy a DSLR instead of iPhone 5S or choosing an iPhone is a better choice. Please don't tell it is my choice. If you had a samsung galaxy s3 as your phone and you have a choice to either buy your first DSLR or a iPhone 5s, which would you choose? I actually wanted to buy a DSLR, but now I feel like buying iphone 5s
