Spilled small amount of water on iphone 4, speaker isn't working

(IOS6)
Today I spilled an extremely tiny amount of water on my iphone 4. The next time I tried to make a call, the speaker didn't work and it said that the headphones were plugged in when they were not. I lied to my dad and I said I left it on counter while I took a shower so the moisture did it, but he is still very mad at me because I've only had the phone for 2 weeks and this is like the 8th phone I have broken in the last 2 years. Is there anything I should do that could help me? I tried turning it on/off and switching the volume but that does not work at all. I don't have time to put it in rice for 4 days because I'm going on a cruise in 2 days. I tried a hairdryer but it isn't working. Please help!

Added (1). Looks like I'm going to have to go buy some rice.

Added (2). Omfg thank you lord jesus

Yeah. Instead of buying a cellphone you should buy a box of matches and burn the money you waste.

No worries it may take a few days or just a few hours for it to start working again. My baby niece had my ipod touch and drooled all over it and my speaker stopped working and also said iheadphones were connected when they were not. My speaker started working a few days later. It just depends on the amount of liquid I'm guessing. Since this was a TINY bit of water i'm sure it will work again=]

  • Why isn't my iphone speaker working? As far as my iphone is concerned, it thinks that i have headphones plugged into them. But i do not. What could i do? I tried restarting. I tried killing the whole battery and recharging it to 100 again but no luck. It also stops me from hearing phonecalls from the iphone itself
  • Why does my small amount of photos take up so much space? On my iPhone 7, I have only 76 pictures/videos. When I click manage storage, it says that they take up 1.3 gb of space, while my friends have hundreds of photos but when they click manage storage, it only takes up a couple hundred mb. Why do the photos take up so much space on my phone or how can I fix this problem?
  • My iPhone 4S speaker isn't working I got my phone a little over a year and a half ago. I usually listen to music without headphones coming from the bottom speaker. Yesterday I had it on loud and it made a cracking noise and stopped working. I tried it again on a low volume and it worked fine it was just a little fuzzy so I turned it up and the sound made the same noise and doesn't work. The headphones work and it just stops in mid song. Any ideas will help thanks!
  • Little bit water got into my iPhone 6s speaker and the sound isn't working? My phone was in my bra as water got thrown at me by little kids, and i took out my phone and the screen was wet so i wiped off the water and it was fine, however the volume does not work. When i insert headphones the volume does work but i need to volume to work. I put my phone in rice and am hoping for the best… HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM?
