Straight Talk Iphone 3gs
I recently got a AT&T iphone 3gs & switched it to straight talk. It works perfectly, BUT when I try to download apps or anything like that, it says that I need to update the version to a newer one. But on my settings it doesn't say software update anywhere & when I plug it into my computer & go onto itunes to check for updates it says that the version I have is up to date & I have version (4.2.) It's ridiculous because I know that there are newer versions. I can barely use my phone because I can't download anything for it.
Does anybody know why it's doing this & how to fix it. Anything helps!
Sadly I don't know the answer to why you can't update your iOS… But I think you have a better chance resolving this question at the apple forums…

I seen lots of reviews how their iphone can't connect to the data/really slow and have bad customer service. - Using iphone 3gs with straight talk? Okay I'm confused. I have a straight talk smart phone already but want an iphone so i bought an unlocked 3gs to use. I put my sim card in it thinking that would be all i had to do but it won't work. I can text on it but when i try to use the internet it says it isn't connected to the internet. Do i have to buy a brand new sim card and activate it then? Also i can't get hardly any service, one bar at the most when i would normally have full service. Ugh help!
