Swapping networks with the same number?

Ok so i'm currently with 02 on a contract, I've recently just got the new iPhone with EE. I was wondering if there was a way I could take my 02 number which i have had for over a year to EE? The only catch is that my 02 contract is still in a contract until May - my mum is going to be using my old phone with 02.

Any help would be helpful Thanks.

First you will have to cancel your contract, I think you might get a fee for that (canceling before your contract ends)

Then you will need to ring up O2 to request a PUK code.

Once given the PUK code you should ring up EE and give them the PUK code, after a few days your number should be with EE now!

Just ring O2 for your PAC (not PUK) code
PAC - Porting Authority Code

give that code to EE when you start or have your new contact.
The Phone number will move inside 2 working days…
and when it does, the old O2 contract will end (automatically)

except…
the O2 contract needs to be paid off till may
that is ask for a termination settlement (most of what is owed till may - less the VAT., as you will not have service provided. )

If you just want to move the numbers around,
more difficult but possible.
you need to get an 'extra' working number / SIM on O2 eg PAYG
and talk very nicely to O2 helpline (web Gru might be best)
and ask them swap the numbers between Contract to PAYG

So now
you have a new number for the O2 contact -> Your Mum.
AND
your special number on the PAYG (which you move)
Take the PAC code for PAYG, and give that to EE

everything sorted…
